Nzinga Biegueng Mboup
Senegalese architect Nzinga Biegueng Mboup is the co-founder of Dakar-based practice Worofila.
The practice specialises in bioclimatic design and construction using earth and locally sourced natural materials, with notable projects including the Ngor Vertical House, the Goethe-Institut in Dakar developed in collaboration with Kéré Architecture and the Labo x Fou training centre in Sébikotane, Senegal.
Mboup has also produced a film on earthen architecture in Senegal, titled Bunt BAN, which was exhibited at the 2023 Venice Architecture Biennale. As a curator, she leads c/o Dakar, a research program with the Canadian Centre for Architecture, investigating Senegal’s largely unarchived architectural heritage.
The architect has delivered talks internationally and taught an Advanced Architecture Design Studio at Columbia University in 2025.
