LandLAB has designed Te Rimutahi in Auckland, New Zealand.
Te Rimutahi transforms a former industrial site in Ponsonby into a hybrid civic landscape where adaptive reuse, ecological infrastructure and community life are seamlessly integrated.
This project provides flexible public space that supports everyday occupation alongside markets, performances, recreation, educational programmes and community events, strengthening social connection and neighbourhood identity within an intensifying urban environment.
By reimagining a former drive-through bottle store as part plaza, part park and part cultural platform, Te Rimutahi demonstrates how small urban sites can become catalysts for social connection, environmental performance and neighbourhood identity.
