Stefano Boeri Interiors has designed the Colosseum's Southern Ambulatory Enhancement in Rome, Italy.

This enhancement project of the southern ambulatory of the Colosseum, developed by Stefano Boeri Interiors for the Parco Archeologico del Colosseo, restores the spatial legibility of the monument's southern perimeter through a precise archaeological and architectural intervention.

Based on extensive excavations and research, the design reinstates the original ground levels and the ancient crepidine, reestablishing the relationship between the amphitheatre and the surrounding piazza.

A new travertine paving, structured according to the Colosseum's radial geometry, reconstructs the missing ambulatory surfaces while ensuring continuity with the monument's material language.
