Ocrum Studios, Gantri and Marset showcase products on Dezeen Showroom

New York design practice Ocrum Studios, lighting manufacturer Gantri and Barcelona lighting brand Marset are among brands showcasing products on Dezeen Showroom this week.

Furniture including lighting, accessories and rugs have been added to Dezeen Showroom, which is an affordable space for brands to launch products and showcase their designers and projects.

Orizon mirror by Ocrum Studios

Orizon by Ocrum Studios is a circular mirror that doubles as a piece of wall art that creates the impression of looking out to sea.

The top half of the mirror is made from tinted glass while the bottom half features a rippled layer of hand-glazed ceramic.

Tamar Wand pendant lights by Shakúff

Tamar Wand is a tubular-shaped pendant light created by Brooklyn design and manufacturing studio Shakúff.

The linear shade is wrapped in thinly-blown borosilicate glass that has been swirled around the glass tube, which creates the unusual drizzled texture of the light.

Volar Bio animal hide alternative by Ultrafabrics

Volar Bio is a collection of bio-based alternatives for animal hide created by synthetic leather manufacturer Ultrafabrics.

The textile brand has released six new earthy colours for the material, which is made from 29 per cent plant-based materials including wood pulp and corn byproducts.

Aude is an angular table lamp created by Belgian designer Bruno van Meenen for architectural lighting brand Trizo21.

The light, which is available in varnished brass or a darker gunmetal colour, is composed of a cylindrical tube that encases its LED bulb and a polished rectangle base.

Encore Table Light by Sam Gwilt for Gantri

Encore Table Light is a versatile lamp designed by Sam Gwilt for Gantri that has been 3D-printed from a bioplastic made from from sugar crops.

The light, which can be used as a bedside lamp or reading light, is composed of a cylindrical base with a rippled curtain-like shade.

Conoid II rug by George Nakashima for Edward Fields

Conoid II is a rug that features an abstract rural landscape designed by American architect and furniture maker George Nakashima for Tai Ping-owned brand Edward Fields.

The brand has also re-released Loewy's Picnic Blanket I rug, which was originally launched in 1952.

Longworth rug by Edward Fields

Edward Fields has also reissued its Longworth rug, which features a bold, geometric pattern of stripes.

The rug, which was originally released in the 1970s, is lined with alternating stripes of mustard yellow, almond white and walnut brown.
