Joseph Grima
Architect and curator Joseph Grima is founder of Italian research studio Space Caviar and co-founder of Milan-based design exhibition Alcova.
Grima's work combines design, technology, critical theory, and the public realm. His work ranges from curated exhibitions to cultural installations with notable projects include constructing an indoor garden with reflective steel steps for the Uzbekistan pavilion at the Venice Art Biennale in 2022.
In 2018, Grima co-founded Alcova with Valentina Ciuffi, an exhibition to support radical young design talent. Held in a new location every year, it has showcased multiple designers at global institutions such as Milan design week and Miami art week.
Grima also serves as creative director at Design Academy Eindhoven and a former editor of Domus magazine.
