Dezeen Awards 2025 judge Lina Ghotmeh

Lebanese architect Lina Ghotmeh is founder of eponymous practice Lina Ghotmeh Architecture.

Ghotmeh is known for her ‘archaeology of the future’ philosophy, blending history, nature, and materiality with notable projects including the 22nd Serpentine Pavilion, a passive low-carbon brick workshop featuring arches for Hermès, and the Bahrain pavilion for the upcoming Expo 2025 Osaka.

Her studio was recently commissioned to design the first new national pavilion in the Giardini della Biennale in Venice and selected to renovate a gallery in London's British Museum.

Ghotmeh is recognised globally and has received multiple accolades including architect project of the year winner for Dezeen Awards 2021, Great Arab Minds Award, Schelling Architecture Award and French Academy Dejean Prize.

She has taught at academic institutions such as Yale University, the University of Toronto, and Harvard Graduate School of Design.
