Dezeen Showroom: a sofa system distinguished by its square seating modules is among 14 new products on Dezeen Showroom.

RUT seating system by Thomas Bernstrand and Stefan Borselius for Blå Station

Designed by Thomas Bernstrand and Stefan Borselius for Blå Station, RUT is a modular seating system comprising square modules that measure 75 x 75 centimetres.

The cushioned seats can be arranged into different configurations on an exposed steel H-beam base, with intersecting solid oak wood planks that can be used as tables.

RUT seating system was featured on Dezeen Showroom this week, alongside a minimalist chair made from recycled plastic and a rug that aims to expose the global issue of river pollution.

To celebrate ​​75 years since its launch, Fredericia has released an anniversary edition of its J39 Mogensen chair, originally created by Danish designer Børge Mogensen.

The anniversary edition has a ​​rush seat hand-woven from sedge grass, which echoes the natural materials and hand craftsmanship used for the original chair.
