Dezeen Showroom: as part of our 2022 review, we have rounded up the 10 most-viewed products on Dezeen Showroom of the year from over 600 products listed by a range of internationally celebrated brands.

Dezeen Showroom has showcased furniture, lighting and product designs from over 370 recognised companies since its launch in 2020, with the section generating over two million page views in 2022 alone.

From kitchen units and playful seating to acoustic office pods and dynamic rugs, here is a selection of the best-performing products featured on Dezeen Showroom from the past year:

Italian brand Falper now designs kitchens as well as bathrooms, and its Small Living Kitchens include islands that aim to make even the most compact food preparation areas feel high-end.

Small Living Kitchen islands distil the elegance and amenities of larger kitchens into compact units, with the option to have a selection of built-in appliances as well as a choice of material finishes.

Yum Yum seating collection by Lapo Ciatti for Opinion Ciatti

Opinion Ciatti's founder, designer Lapo Ciatti, created the Yum Yum seating collection by uniting a pouf-style seat with a curved timber backrest.

The seat is available in three sizes – armchair, extra-large armchair and two-seater sofa – and has removable covers that can be made from a wide range of upholstery materials.

Zen Pod office booth by Staffan Holm for Abstracta

Abstracta collaborated with designer Staffan Holm on the Zen Pod office booth, taking cues from Japanese design principles to make the pods a peaceful space to work in.

Holm wanted to avoid making the booths feel isolating by giving them glass walls with obscuring curtains and wooden slats to maintain privacy and focus.

Atlante kitchen by L'Ottocento

Italian brand L'Ottocento worked with design consultancy makethatstudio to create a wooden panelling system to decorate walls and conceal integrated appliances.

Atlante panelling is made from solid Italian walnut and is suitable for use in kitchen and living areas.

Wooden 4PM chaise lounge by Massproductions in a concrete room

4PM chaise longue by Massproductions

Swedish design company Massproductions released a chaise longue that provides a comfortable reclined seat without full-length upholstery.

4PM chaise longue is made from laminated wood and has a raised foot rest that doubles as a small side table, with a detachable headrest for added comfort.

Shaal sofa by Doshi Levien for Arper

Designer Doshi Levien has designed a modular sofa in collaboration with Italian furniture brand Arper, consisting of six core components that can be combined in a range of layouts.

Shaal sofa has solid sides that contain deep, thick cushions, which can be upholstered in a range of fabrics including textiles and leather.

Plastic Rivers rugs by Álvaro Catalán de Ocón for Gan

Spanish company Gan collaborated with designer Álvaro Catalán de Ocón on a collection of four rugs that are decorated with topographical maps of four global waterways that have been impacted by plastic pollution.

Plastic Rivers rugs are hand made by artisans from 100 per cent recycled PET plastic fibres, which has a durable, soft texture underfoot similar to wool.

Italian bathroom company Agape has released a freestanding iteration of its Ell sink, which features the same flat basin overlaid with a grille that obscures its drain.

Ell washbasin is supported by a slim cylindrical column and comes in a selection of material finishes.

Kerastar tile collection by Johnson Tiles

British tile brand Johnson Tiles has expanded its range of floor and wall tiles to include warm-toned orange and red and cool-toned dark grey tiles.

Kerastar tiles are a durable option for high-traffic public areas and come in rectangular, square and hexagonal shapes to create a range of patterns.
