Mark Grattan is a multidisciplinary designer based in New York City.

Trained at Pratt Institute, he brings two decades of wood craftsmanship to a practice spanning furniture, interiors, textiles and objects.

Grattan's work remains closely tied to the hand, the shop and the material reality of making. His work is driven by colour, texture and cultural memory, with a visual language that feels instinctive, physical and emotionally charged.

His work is held in the permanent collections of the Brooklyn Museum and the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.
