Moroccan architect Aziza Chaouni is the director of SoNo Lab and founder of Aziza Chaouni Projects.

Chaouni's practice and research focuses on sustainable design and adaptive reuse in the Global South. She has collaborated extensively with organisations on heritage projects including the World Monuments Fund, working on projects such as the brutalist La Maison du Peuple in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

Chaoun's work has also been published and exhibited internationally, including at the Venice Architecture Biennale and the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art.
