David Thulstrup
Danish architect and designer David Thulstrup is founder of eponymous practice Studio David Thulstrup, which specialises in hospitality and residential projects.
Thulstrup is best known for his timeless designs that fuse his Scandinavian heritage with contemporary design elements. Acclaimed projects include restaurants Noma in Copenhagen, Ikoyi in London and TimeSpirit at the Macallan Estate in Scotland – all of which incorporate light and natural materials that encompass a strong sense of place.
He also designs furniture and lighting, and recently crafted a silver holloware piece named Penumbra for Georg Jensen in 2023 and Font dining chairs in collaboration with Danish furniture brand Møbel.
In 2023, Phaidon Press published his first monograph, David Thulstrup: A Sense of Place, which draws on his heritage, life's work and unique design approach.
