Samira Rathod
Indian architect Samira Rathod is the founder of Mumbai-based architecture studio Samira Rathod Design Atelier (SRDA).
Since founding her practice in 2000, Rathod has gained international recognition for large-scale housing, skyscrapers and masterplan projects, alongside her designs for furniture and art installations.
Projects by SRDA include an experimental concrete house in the town of Alibag, a school featuring irregular vaulted roofs in Gujarat, and a house in Bharuch designed for cooling during hot Indian summers.
Rathod is also the founder of Spade, a non-profit forum for creatives to discuss and critically assess Indian architecture.
